The first national gathering of the Amicale-Avantime took place on July 23 and 24, 2005, after only 3 months and 10 days of existence of the association!
Originally it was just a small meeting between the three founders of the Amicale who remember, are somewhat scattered on French territory, and had never met physically.
It was not counting on the enthusiasm of the other sixteen members of the association who very quickly expressed the wish to join the movement! Very responsive, the office was able to organize the meeting in record time, and took the opportunity to plan the first general meeting in Romorantin.
Saturday, July 23, 2005 around noon arrives a first Avantime on the parking of the hotel Pyramide. We started a small photo shoot just steps from the hotel. on the parking lot of the François 1er cultural space (La Pyramide).
The twelve Avantime are perfectly aligned under the contemplative gazes of the thirteen members of the Amicale present and their families.
It is 2.30 pm, we are heading to the museum "Espace Automatique Matra". The least we can say is that the crossing of the city of Romorantin with our twelve Avantime, does not go unnoticed
The museum tour is exciting! All the heritage is exposed, from Jacky Stewart's F1 to Espace III through the prototypes, the Murena, the engine room, the Rancho, the 530, the Jacky Ickx F1, and of course the Avantime ! In all more than 50 vehicles and engines are exposed. The eyes do not know where to land! What happiness!
After a little refreshment, we return to the hotel Pyramide.
It is 18h, the President opens the meeting of the first general meeting of the Amicale-Avantime! At the end of the general assembly, it is in the greatest conviviality that we dine at the restaurant of the hotel.
On Sunday morning, the sun has given way to the rain, whatever it is! After a good breakfast, we reform the convoy for a nice walk despite the weather. We leave the capital of Sologne, to head to the castle of Chambord to take some pictures. Our trip is embellished with forests and villages of the most pleasant!
Unfortunately all the good things have an end, around noon, the most distant geographically must take the road again. Some still extend a little pleasure by lunch together.
